Why Faurlin loan is a good deal for the club and player

When the man from Argentina first signed for QPR a lot of fans scatched their heads saying, who? He soon became a lynchpin in midfield and his fanbase started to grow.

It's hard to believe that he's only been at the club just three and a half years; it feels like a lot longer and I mean that in a nice way!

The way he handled himself during the FA inquiry has to be admired and the fans backed him all the way and it was proved there was no wrong doing and yet the FA never did apologize and we all know they never will.

Alejandro Faurlin was part of the great promotion side when we went up to the Premier League and it was him I was pleased for more than anyone else.

He took a while to get used to the game at the top level and to me was he was starting to get into his rhythm when the FA Cup in January last year brought an end to his season; a crucial player out with a crucial knee ligament.

It really was the last thing QPR needed in the fight to avoid the drop and Ale was sidelined for months.

Upon his return it was obvious to me he wasn't the same player but he needed time to get back into the swing of things. To be honest I don't think Mark Hughes was a fan and when Harry came in I had renewed hope. Harry could see what the problem was; confidence!

A few fans are worried that they have seen the last of him; it's a loan deal so we can get the player we had a couple of seasons ago back.

It works well for everyone; Palermo get a skillful player and the Italian league is much slower so his confidence should come bouncing back and when he comes back for pre season we have the old Ale back!

Harry has stated that the QPR midfielder is in his long term plans so lets hope we see him back in a blue and white hooped top at the start of next season and he'll be raring to go!
