Some great QPR men have worn the famous number ten

When I was growing up the famous number seven of Liverpool was Kenny Dalglish; Stan Bowles and Rodney Marsh were QPR's number tens. It's a shirt number Rangers fans adore and over the years some great players have worn it. From Tony Currie to Simon Stainrod to the white Pele, a special player wears the number ten shirt.

For the last two seasons it was given to Adel Taarabt, to some maybe it wasn't a wise choice. As I've written before, you can't expect to live on one good season and he did I'm afraid. Since he's been loaned out he hasn't done himself any favours by kissing the Fulham badge; yet two weeks before that he was saying how much he loved the hoops but had to move. I hope his career goes higher because he has the talent but also the temper. Let's remember he is only on loan; he may be a number ten again for QPR, it's a funny old game.

So this season Harry has given the legendary number to young Spurs loanee Tom Carroll. Harry has a hell of a lot of faith in the England under twenty one player; the number carries an extra burden in what the fans expect and I think Harry knows that.
He wants things going through Carroll which is a great compliment to the player Harry says will be a full England international.
I also think it will be third time lucky after the successes of Kyle Walker and Andros Townsend; if Carroll can do better than either of them at Loftus Road he surely deserves to wear the famous number ten!
The battle for places in the side is going to be fierce, as fans that's what we want! Going back to my childhood, the attacks always involved the number ten shirt; long may that continue.
