D Month. Villa

December. 6 games in one month for Queens Park Rangers to turn their season around. Starting off on Saturday 1st December at home to Aston Villa.

QPR

After an encouraging performance in the goalless draw at the Stadium of Light, Harry Redknapp seems to be pleased and thinks that QPR will turn their season around. He makes the valid point of, "If we can put them [the players] together and get them to work together, we have got a chance." After 9 losses and 5 draws, QPR find themselves rock bottom of the premier league with just 5 points from 39. The QPR faithful will be hoping the appointment of new manager Harry Redknapp will save their season. After just one game, he has managed a clean sheet away from home, which QPR have not managed since being under the management of Neil Warnock. A 3-0 victory at the Molineux on September 17th 2011!

Aston Villa

27th November 2012 saw Aston Villa lifted from the relegation places with a 1-0 victory at the expense of Reading FC. Having 13 points from 13 games, Villa have 7 losses, 4 draws and 3 wins under their belts. In contrast to QPR, they are having a much better, but still quite a poor, start to the season. In what was an even game at Villa Park, Benteke's headed effort seemed to put the nail in the coffin, as they say, as it was late on in the game. Villa will be on a high as they travel to Loftus Road on Saturday.

My Prediction

In a game which both sides will be relishing a victory, my prediction is QPR 1 – 1 Aston Villa. With Jamie Mackie, finding his feet in the Premier League this season, and Stephen Ireland coming off the bench grabbing goals for both sides. QPR will take an early lead with Villa equalising just after half time.
