D-month – Match 4 – Newcastle Away

20/12/2012 18:11

QPR

QPR have enjoyed a 4 game unbeaten run. Sunderland away, Wigan away, Villa at home and now a first victory against Fulham at home. Being unbeaten so far, Harry Redknapp's QPR will be hoping to undo the abysmal away record. It's been over a year since QPR have won away and travelling to Newcastle is one of the hardest games of the season. Adel Taarabt will be wanting to do as much as possible for the club before he leaves for the ACON tournament, having said he wishes to play. He will want to impress both club and national managers.

Newcastle

Newcastle have lost all of their previous 3 games. Manchester City, Fulham and Bordeaux. All of which are tough fixtures, so they will be expecting and hoping to grab three points at home to QPR. They have scored in all of their last three Premier League fixtures, as have QPR, and this game looks to be a goal fest. Alan Pardew has said that Newcastle are under 'monster pressure' to get a win against QPR, which could be a good thing or a bad thing.

My Prediction

Considering we are unbeaten in 4 games under Redknapp as well as playing nice football, I can see this ending in a draw. I predict a 2 – 2 scoreline with Adel Taarabt and Ale Faurlin scoring the goals. Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse to score for Newcastle.
